Award-winning craft brewery, Jaw Brew will open its first bar in Milngavie on Friday, 13th December at midday.
Located at Crossveggate, next to Milngavie train station, the Jaw Brew bar will serve locally sourced drinks, including the brand’s own craft beer and gin.
The company’s brewery will also move to the Milngavie premises in the New Year, and will become East Dunbartonshire’s first micro-brewery.
Jaw Brew founder, Mark Hazell said:
“We attend a lot of beer festivals and events where we serve customers from pop-up bars. When the premises became available in Milngavie it was an ideal opportunity to bring the Jaw Brew brewery to the area and open our first permanent bar.
“There is nothing like this in the local area and we hope to appeal to customers looking to enjoy quality, craft drinks from the local area in a relaxed atmosphere. Our business is family owned and run so customers can expect to see me, or members of the family, serving behind the bar.
“The location of the bar is also ideal for walkers who arrive at Milngavie train station to take part in the West Highland Way, so it would be great to send some of the walkers on their way with a pint of craft beer.”
The first Jaw Brew bar will be one of Scotland’s smallest bars with capacity for just 28 customers.
The Hazell family also owns and operates East Dunbartonshire’s first gin distillery. Bardowie gin is created at the family’s old miller’s cottage on the shores of Bardowie Loch.
“We recognised a significant cross over with customers who bought our beer and were looking for quality, craft gin. Bardowie Loch is the perfect location for a distillery and, with the help of the botanicals hand-picked around our family home, we created a delicious, craft gin.”
The full range of products will be available for customers to enjoy at the new Jaw Brew bar. The Jaw Brew bar will also offer an onsite off licence and once the distillery moves to Milngavie, the team will host brewery tours and craft beer tasting sessions.
The Jaw Brew bar will be open Thursday (5-10pm), Friday (12-10pm), Saturday (12-10pm) and Sunday (2-7pm) from https://www.jawbrew.co.uk/
